The Mid Week Meal Ministry will serve its final meal on Wednesday, September 30. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a total leadership team as Erika Cada will be stepping down on October 1st. The ministry is unsustainable without a complete team.
This meal ministry has run without interruption since March 18, 2020, and it has served our community in so many ways. We are grateful for the volunteers, the financial support, the prayers, and the special relationships that have formed, as a result.
We plan to wait several weeks to be certain there are no individuals interested in leading the ministry. After that period, we will return all unspent grant monies to the donors, and we will contact those individuals who donated more than $500 to ask how they would like their donation redirected. All other financial donors may contact FLC to redirect their donations. After those changes are made, we will transfer all leftover Mid Week Meal funds to charities addressing hunger by December 31, 2026.
Again, thank you. Thank you to each of you for whatever role you played in this important ministry that fed our community in more ways than one.
Every Wednesday, from 5:30-6:30, First Lutheran Church, ELCA provides a drive-thru/delivery meal to anyone in the community, no questions asked.

- Pick-ups can be made in the east parking lot of the church, and no need to exit your vehicle; we will bring it to you.
- Deliveries typically arrive before 6pm.
