FLC welcomes you to our community of faith.
We look to the Bible to guide our beliefs and actions. The way we live our lives is always a thankful response to the love that God first showed us. Stewardship and service in the church and world are a way of saying thanks to God for his gift of love and life, not a way of earning our salvation or proving our faith.
This being so, we Lutherans are free and grateful. We are servants because of God’s love.
E.L.C.A. – Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
From the ELCA website:
“We are a church that is always being made new, and at the same time, is deeply rooted in Scripture, Lutheran theology and Lutheran confessions. We are also rooted in the vibrant, diverse communities and rich histories of our congregations. It’s through these roots that the Holy Spirit guides and nourishes us so that we can be a church that is both resilient and always new.”
Nebraska Synod
From the Nebraska Synod Website:
“The word “synod” means “walking together” – as we move along our spiritual journeys to see, tell, and reflect Christ’s love…
All of the Synod’s 249 congregations and 114,000 participants are in a walk together as we endeavor to do Christ’s work. We can do so much more together than we can do on our own. That’s what walking together as a Synod is all about.”
