The CARE Ministry at First Lutheran Church includes a network of ministries designed to meet the needs of those who are experiencing stressful or challenging times.
This may include:
- Intentional time with a Stephen Minister
- Receiving home Communion
- Visiting with a friend
- Spiritual Direction

Lutheran Disaster Response brings God’s hope, healing and renewal to people whose lives have been disrupted by disasters in the United States and around the world. When the dust settles and the headlines change, we stay to provide ongoing assistance to those in need.
Although the fundraising campaign has concluded, our commitment to ending deaths from this preventable, treatable disease has not. Support to our companions and partners to address malaria will come through gifts to ELCA World Hunger, which has a long history of supporting health-related work.
By God’s grace, partnering with Christian communities & Tribal nations, prepares Native children to lead and serve.
The Oaks Indian Mission is proud of the many services that are provided to our Native children. Like our mission statement says above, we want our children to be prepared! Our staff use several tools in creating paths for the children.
To share the love of Jesus Christ by providing food to families in need across Washington County and to engage the community in supporting their neighbors by providing access to quality merchandise.
The Bridge is committed to the prevention and elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault. We work to enhance safety and to promote equality in relationships. We are opposed to the use of violence to control the lives of others. The Bridge is committed to eliminating violence in the lives of women and children through empowerment, education and social action.
