We extend an invitation to all to attend worship and partake in open communion.

This is the Lord’s table. He is the host. We are his guests. He welcomes everyone to come and eat and be nourished, fed and forgiven. Come and eat and live!

The only people excluded from our communion table are those that Jesus himself would exclude and that is nobody.

All are welcome.

When you arrive to worship at FLC you will be met by positive, friendly, and informative ambassadors who greet, treat, and seat everyone who comes to worship at First Lutheran Church.

The Hospitality teams also assist with the continuity of worship, assist with communion and offering, and provide any additional information or assistance to those in attendance.

If you are interested in joining a Hospitality team for any of the services at First Lutheran, please contact Vince Krysl, Director of Community.

The music leaders at First are among Nebraska’s finest educators and performers and no matter which style you prefer, you will find enthusiastic volunteer musicians that will lead you in an inspiring worship experience.

Adult Choir

Our Adult Choir ministers through music from September through May on Sunday mornings.  They also sing longer works for holidays and other special events.  Rehearsals are held on Sunday mornings from 9:30am – 10:10am, upstairs in the music room.   The group loves to sing and share the message of the Gospel through music!  For more information, please contact choir director Kay Dickinson.

Bell Choir

First Lutheran Church Bell Choir, directed by Karen Fenne, also provides anthems from September through May at our Sunday morning worship services. This choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 8:00pm.

Praise Bands

First Lutheran Church has two different Praise Bands that lead worship on Sunday or Wednesday.  If you are interested in joining either, please contact Vince Krysl, Director of Praise Bands.

The Sunday Morning Praise Band leads worship at the 10:15 worship service. They lead the congregation in a mix of folk, gospel, country, and contemporary music.

The Wednesday night 6:15 praise band is focused on youth participation.  Any youth or adults who are interested in singing or playing on Wednesday nights are welcome. The group rehearses at 5:30 p.m. before the service.  Any instruments, vocal ranges, or abilities are welcome!

Special Music

First Lutheran Church has a strong musical heritage that is apparent, not only in the formal music ministries, but in the talented members of the congregation who provide special music throughout the year.  These presentations include vocal and instrumental solos and groups, collaborations with the praise bands or choirs, liturgical dance, and more!

If you feel called to share your talents with the congregation at any of the services at First Lutheran, please feel free to contact Pastor Pam Ciulla from our Worship and Music Committee.

Rainbow bags are available for young children to use during worship services.  The bags are full of quiet church activities.  They are located in the hallway outside of the sanctuary. Children are welcome to worship with their families or there are caregivers available in our nursery for infants and young children during the 10:15 and Wednesday night services if parents prefer.

TV Ministry and Sermons

Whether you missed a service or would like to listen again, we have multiple opportunities for you to watch our Sunday sermon.

Local cable access channel 97 airs our complete 8:15 service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons.

The 8:15 sermon may be seen on our YouTube Channel HERE, or on our Facebook page HERE.

Also, all of the sermons are on our website, and can be found HERE.

Often other services are televised throughout the year.  Check with the office and the monthly ambassador for other broadcast schedules.
